Correspondence Study

BENEFITS TO YOU!
Center for Financial Training Western States (CFTWS) offers you a convenient variety of self-study options so you can take timely, banking-related education and training courses when it fits into your schedule!

FORMAT
Enroll in a correspondence study course, and the course textbook (this is in addition to the class tuition) and outline are mailed to you! An instructor will be assigned, and working at your own speed, you will complete practical assignments and submit them to the instructor for grading. Graded assignments and examination scores are combined to determine your final grade. You will receive 3 credit hours with a grade of ā€˜D’ or better. YOU HAVE UP TO 6 MONTHS FROM THE TIME YOU RECEIVE THE MATERIALS TO COMPLETE THE COURSE.

COURSE OFFERINGS & REGISTRATION
Below please find a list of the self-study courses available.  Click on the COURSE NUMBER for a complete course description.  To REGISTER, click on the "ADD TO CART" link on the bottom of the page.  Once received, CFTWS will send you the appropriate textbook and text study guide, which includes tips for studying and practical exercises.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY
To cancel and receive a full refund from a correspondence course, less a $65 withdrawal fee, your written request along with your textbook and exercises must be returned within ten (10) business days from the receipt of your materials.

EXTENSIONS

  • If an extension is required, it can be requested no earlier than five (5) months into the course.
  • Requests for an extension must be made in writing, accompanied by a $25 fee.
  • An extension will be no longer than three (3) months.
  • No more than two (2) extensions will be granted.
  • If a second and final extension is needed, the request must be in writing with an additional $25.
